Featherbed Tales – our new digital story sharing service.

Share Magical storytimes with your Loved ones.

Newham Library members have a wonderful opportunity to record themselves reading one of Featherbed Tales' beautifully illustrated digital story or short rhymes to share with their loved ones near and far.

Children can also read stories for a parent, grandparent or other family member who they have not seen for a while or just for fun.

All you need to do to get started is:

Create your account by visiting the Featherbed Tales site (opens in new window)

 

1. Enter your Newham Libraries card number

2. Sign up with your email and password

3. Select the story or nursery rhyme you wish to record

4. Click 'Record' for each page of the story or rhyme - keep an eye out for a pop-up asking to use your microphone

5. Share with others by entering their email address when your story is complete - you're all done!

Once you’re happy with the results, you can share a link by email so that family members can enjoy the experience together from anywhere in the world.

 

You don’t need any special equipment, just a computer or device with a microphone and don't worry if you make a mistake, you can just re-do it.
